Penny Lancaster, born in 1971, is a photographer and model from England. She grew up under the support of Graham and Sally, her parents. Lancaster’s parents went to gym regularly and encouraged a health and fitness routine. When she was 6 years old, Lancaster took classes for different kinds of dances, such as ballet, tap, modern.

However, ten years later she quit dancing and moved to aerobics, and this suited her body frame. It had become clear to her that her appearance is perfect for a career in modeling. At the age of 22, she became a skilled fitness instructor. During this time, she was suggested to consider modeling as a career. So, she took a modeling course for one year from London College of Fashion. She completed this course with distinction.  Soon she was in demand for promoting product like swimwear and lingerie. Penny Lancaster also had beautiful skin and hair and hence she was assigned for the promotion of beauty and hair products.

In the 1990s she had a relationship with Mickey Sloan, a city trader. However, they separated in 1999. Following this, she pursued to learn about the other side of modeling, the role behind the camera, so she took a photography course. The course lasted for two years and she passed out with a distinction.

In 1998 in her first year, she got a chance to meet Rod Stewart, a rock singer. She was his fan and with his permission took his photograph. While discussing about the photo, both felt they had much in common. Soon, they were dating and later got married.

She graduated from her photography lessons with a diploma. Since then she has enjoyed her success as a specialized photographer. She took projects from newspapers and magazines. Penny Lancaster also made contract for a year with HELLO! magazine to shoot celebrities. Following this, she received assignments for beauty and fashion for magazines targeted on females, such as Sunday Times, Cosmo and Essentials. She also worked for some Australian magazines. Lancaster also takes pictures of Rod Stewart, her husband, for newspapers, fan mail, magazines and tour programs.

Despite the distractions within her personal life, Lancaster remained steady on the path of her career. She worked both as a spokes model for the lingerie brand, Ultimo and as a photographer for HELLO!

Penny Lancaster is popular for doing modeling for Ultimo, a lingerie brand. In 2002, she signed a contract with Ultimo to be their brand ambassador. She was successful in promoting the brand name, especially in UK. However, after two years, her contract was not renewed.

Lancaster produced Ultimate BodyWorkout, a DVD on fitness. The tape highlighted years of her knowledge on fitness.

In 2008, HELLO! magazine in collaboration with Nikon held the Young Photographers Award, in which Penny Lancaster was the judge along with Lorenzo Agius, Dave Hogan, Christopher Simon Sykes, Terry O’Neil, Aidan Sulivan, Mark Thompson, former editor of HELLO! Ronnie Whelan and Mike Daines.
